SAYERVILLE, NJ – A football game isn’t a football games unless there are cheerleaders on the sideline motivating the fans and cheering on the players.
The 2014 Snapple Bowl had four senior cheerleaders from Edison High School and Bishop Ahr High School. They were joined by 31 other cheerleaders from Middlesex County representing their respective schools. Throughout their cheerleading careers these girls would have been on opposite sides of the field, however, they all came together to represent Middlesex County.
Representing Edison High School were Alissa Carroll and Briana Heintjes and from Bishop Ahr High School were and Kathryn Murphy.
During halftime, the cheerleaders put on a show with amazing acrobatic feats and dancing pumping up the crowd for the second half.
The cheerleaders just didn’t show up for the game and provide halftime entertainment. On Monday, they all went to Lakeview School in Edison to meet and interact with children with disabilities. A unique and moving experience the girls will never forget.
Middlesex County defeated Union county for the second consecutive year, 34-20.
