STATE COLLEGE, PA - Southern Regional High School, Penn State Alum and current MIami Dolphin receiver Mike Gesicki made a visit to Penn State University on Saturday to attend the THON dance marathon fundraiser.
The annual Penn State event raises a large amount of money each year for cancer patients and research. The grand total for the 2019 Dance Marathon was 10,621,683
Mike played a great role in Saturday's Thon participaing in an inspiring moment when he came out on stage to pep up the crowd.
Mike appeared and reunited with a child he has had a relationship while playing at Penn State with cancer. Mike was on the stage with young Landon Knepp and he spoke about the blessing of being a part of Landon's journey to health from his cancer while Mike was at PSU.
Mike spoke about getting to know Landon's family and being part of his journey.
Mike also thanked the Penn State fans for supporting him over the years.
