WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Millburn High School hockey team lost to Montclair Kimberley Academy by a score of 4-2 at Codey Arena on Monday evening.

After falling behind, 4-0, early in the third period, the Millers mounted something of a comeback, with two goals, both scored by Nate Raczkowski.  Time was not on the Millers’ side, however and the newfound momentum did not have time to develop any further.

“The team came out and fought hard in the third period,” Coach Chris Myers said. “The two short-handed goals killed us, but our philosophy is to try to win every period, and we did that in the third.”

Athletic Director Ted D’Allessio was impressed with Millburn’s effort despite the outcome.  “The boys played a solid game and I am definitely seeing improvement as the season progresses,” he said.  “Although we came out on the short end, our coaches and athletes should still be proud of their efforts.”
