The Millburn Police Department proudly participated in Operation Take Back New Jersey on this date.  Operation Take Back New Jersey was a cooperative effort working with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and a variety of other partnering agencies that allowed the public to safely dispose of unused medication.  (please see original attached press release)
The Millburn Police Department collection point received over 4-large 30-gallon type garbage bags filled with a variety of medications.  (see attached pictures - credit Millburn Police Department).  The collected medication will be turned over to the DEA for disposal.  This program allows the public a environmentally safe method to dispose of unused or old medication and ensure it does not fall into the wrong hands, where it could be abused.
