On February 12, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Nacim responded to the Louis Vuitton store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report that occurred on February 11, 2019. Louis Vuitton personnel report a white female with blond hair wearing a headband concealed a handbag valued at $3550.00 in a shopping bag and left the store without making payment. Another white female wearing a red coat concealed 2 bracelets valued at $1245.00 in her pants and left the store without making payment. Both incidents are under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On February 13, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Catinella and Sgt Poyner responded to the Morris County Correctional Facility on a warrant arrest. Matthew Freedman, age 39 of Knowlton, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On February 15, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Crawn stopped a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee for having front tinted windows. The 23 year old driver, Jaiquan Waters of Newark, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and a warrant from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Waters was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and possession of fireworks. Mr. Waters was issued a summons and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On February 15, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa stopped a 1997 Nissan Maxima for an inoperable headlight. The investigation led to the arrest of 27 year old Kaleef Hicks of Newark for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Hicks was issued a summons and released.

On February 15, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2009 Mazda M3S on Rt 24 West/Hobart Gap for an inoperable headlight. The investigation led to the arrest of 29 year old Robert Duke of Columbia, NJ for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (Xanax) and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Duke was issued a summons and released.

On February 16, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Royce stopped a 2016 Mazda MZ3 on Rt 24 West/Summit Ave for having front tinted windows. The investigation led to the arrest of 19 year old Lukas Glasser, 18 year old Diego Ramirez-Vera, and 19 year old Anderson Porsse of Summit for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), possession with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were released on a summons.

On February 17, 2019 Millburn Police Officers Seebohm and Lanni responded to the NJSP Newark barracks on a warrant arrest. Ricky Santiago, age 23 of Newark, was placed under arrest on an outstanding criminal warrant and remanded to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

On February 17, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Barbosa responded to Neiman Marcus on a theft report that occurred on February 16, 2019. Neiman Marcus personnel report a black female wearing a pink hat, white/grey jacket, black/pink pants, and carrying a shopping bag concealed 6 jackets valued at $6665.00 in a shopping bag and left the store without making payment. The incident is under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau. 

On February 18, 2019 at 2:25 am Millburn Police Officer Barbosa observed 2 individuals walking down the center of South Orange Ave/Old Short Hills Rd. The investigation led to the arrest of 18 year old Hakeem Caldwell of Newark for burglarizing 2 vehicles on Winthrop Rd, theft, and hindering. Wanya Mchenry, age 18 of Newark, was placed under arrest for hindering. Both individuals were released on a summons.

On February 18, 2019 Millburn Police Officer Nacim responded to the Sunglass Hut store at The Mall at Short Hills on a theft report. Sunglass Hut personnel report 35 year old Lin Yanfei of Brookfield, CT concealed a pair of sunglasses valued at $299.00 and left the store without making payment. Mr. Yanfei was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons.
