As of 10:00 a.m., JCP&L stated on their website that power was estimated to be restored at 11:30 a.m. However, a technician in the area who was checking on the power failure said that as of press time, the company was still piecing together information about the cause of power outage, which is as of yet unknown.

Additionally, while some houses in the affected section appeared to have had their power restored earlier this morning, there is only limited power flowing into those homes, which is enough to power low energy appliances, such as LED light bulbs, but not larger ones, such as a refrigerator.

As a result, the lights that are on give the appearance of power being restored, even when that is not the case.
