MILLBURN, NJ - PTR-1 (Senior Freeze) Application books are now available in the Tax Office. Additionally, sewer bills are due by April 1.
Sewer charges can now be paid online through the town homepage by clicking "Pay Bill Online."
According to the town website, The Township of Millburn bills an annual sewer usage fee, a flat rate due every year on April 1. Additionally, there is a 7 day grace period on the sewer fee. All payments received after April 7 will be subject to interest. All unpaid prior year balances are subject to tax sale in the current year.
Millburn's Tax Assessor works in the tax office to determine the taxability and fair market value of all new, existing and improved properties within the municipality.
The assessor’s responsibilities include processing deeds, processing building permits for assessments, maintaining and updating assessment records, maintaining records for accurate up-to-date information such as Planning, Zoning and Construction Code enforcement, complying with state-mandated regulations, handling appeals, processing applications for exemptions or deductions, and compiling financial and other records for the county and state tax boards.
