BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Unleash your creativity and experience the magic of layering photographs with Nancy Ori and Heidi Sussman. This two day workshop offered Sunday, September 21 and October 5, 2014 from 11-5 pm will be filled with fun and simple techniques to take your current artwork to new levels. Held in an artist's studio in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, this innovative workshop is geared for artists of any level. Photographers, painters, collage and book artists, along with anyone who wants to combine photographs with other media will love this stress-free workshop. The mediums discussed and demonstrated will include pastel, pencil, watercolor, collage, wax, and botanical printing. Instruction in image transfer techniques using various substrates including paper, metal and fabric will be the featured topic.
The Mixed Media Magic Photography Workshop is packed with information about composition and image preparation, how to successfully plan in layers, instructor demos, and most importantly, the chance for hands-on experimentation. Here is a great opportunity to learn how to create new work with incredible diversity from two master artists. Nancy Ori of Berkeley Heights and Heidi Sussman of West Orange will easily walk you through each process to produce original work to take home. All necessary art materials and tools will be supplied and a comprehensive hand-out will be provided so you can continue growing your portfolio with additional tips and ideas once you leave the workshop. All experience levels are welcome.
Heidi Sussman is an exhibiting photographer and mixed media artist whose work is included in public and private collections in the United States and Canada. Nancy Ori has photographed, taught and exhibited her photography in museums and galleries throughout the world.
Nancy Ori is the owner of New Jersey Media Center, LLC in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey where she continues to do product, portrait and event photography. Her workshop program began in Cape May, New Jersey 25 years ago and has now extended throughout the United States as well as to popular locations in Europe. She has now added Cuba to her list of workshops. Nancy was taught by Ansel Adams in the 70’s and was then affiliated for many years with the Ansel Adams Workshop in California on the teaching staff. In New Jersey, she is currently on the faculty of numerous museums and art centers as well as teaches privately. New Jersey Media Center is the producer of this workshop and a provider of Professional Development Certification credit hours for New Jersey teachers. Qualified applicants will be issued a certificate at the completion of this workshop upon request.
