BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Mountain Park School received a grant for a Mobile Science Station donated by the Berkeley Heights Education Foundation. The Mobile Science Station is for all fifth grade students. The district's inquiry based curriculum actively engages student interest and enhances their powers of inquiry, observation and reflection.
Currently, students are exploring a unit on Nature’s Recyclers to understand the role of composting worms in the decomposition of organic remains. Using the Mobile Science Center, students have an area to gather, view demonstrations and make observations.
