FREEHOLD, NJ — Free coronavirus testing is available to all Monmouth County residents — whether they are symptomatic or not — at six locations during December.

There are clinics scheduled throughout the month at set times and dates in Asbury Park, Freehold Borough, Keansburg, Neptune, Long Branch and Red Bank (see poster above).

Appointments are not necessary, and testing on each day is open to residents of any municipality in the county — not just those living in the host municipality.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

There will be 200 nasal swab tests available at each clinic, and once they are administered by a health care professional, the site is closed for that day.

To be tested, residents must provide their contact information to receive results. The Monmouth County Health Department will conduct contact tracing for residents who test positive.

Residents are encouraged to fill out the testing requisition form before testing in order to expedite the process.

Since Monmouth launched its COVID-19 Free Testing Program in July — in partnership with the Grunin Foundation — the health department has administered 5,369 tests, with 155 positive results.

Residents with general questions or concerns about COVID-19 can contact the health department phone bank at 732-845-2070 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. During nonoperational hour, visit

Residents with symptoms of COVID-19 are advised to call their health care provider. Assistance is also available by calling 2-1-1, visiting the NJ 211 website or texting your zip code to 898-211 for live assistance.
