August 29, 2014 at 12:40 PM

MONTCLAIR, NJ - New Jersey Transit has announced that regular rail service on the Montclair-Boonton Line will be fully restored as of Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Service had been interrupted after a train derailed on Aug. 19 near the Walnut Street station. Since then, Montclair-Boonton trains were using one track which caused subsequent delays and cancellations along the line.

A repair crew had been working diligently to complete track repairs sooner than anticipated.
