MORRISTOWN, NJ - On Saturday, December 7 th , The Morristown Cultural District was transformed into the magical “Theatre of Light”. Held at the Vail Mansion Lawn, MPAC Plaza, and surrounding grounds, this free event treated attendees to a special night of song and celebration that created a powerful bond of hope and community.

The centerpiece was the Star Display. At the Wishing on a Star table, attendees wrote their wishes for the season, which were an integral part of the night’s lighting display. Along with the Star Display, the MAYO Performing Arts Company performed such holiday favorites as “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree”, “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer”, and “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town”.  

Attendees also enjoyed storytelling by Chad Leinaweaver of the Morristown/Morris Township Public Library, free hot chocolate by Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen, and treats by The Artist Baker.

Prior to the event, MPAC held a free screening of the 2018 animated film The Grinch.

The lighting display was created by Pulse Lighting, a leader in the field of lighting production and design. Pulse Lighting’s cutting-edge event production services have been showcased at festivals and events in the tri-state area and beyond.
