Motorcycle Accident Press Release From Randolph Police Department


RANDOLPH, NJ- On August 11 at 6:46 p.m, the Randolph Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a car and a motorcycle.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle being driven by a 48 year old male from Randolph was traveling West on Sussex Turnpike when it was struck from behind by another vehicle.  The vehicle, a 2014 Honda, operated by a 73 year old male from Randolph, was also traveling West on Sussex Turnpike directly behind the motorcycle when the collision occurred. 

The impact of the collision caused the operator to be thrown from the motorcycle.  The operator was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation into what caused the collision is still in progress.

The Randolph Police Department, the Morris County Prosecutors office and Morris County Sheriff's office all responded to investigate this crash.  The Randolph Fire Department and Atlantic Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
