MURRAY HILL, NJ - Myra McGinley, Senior Manager, Corporate Governance at Bard Corporate in Murray Hill has received the prestigious Charles Russell Bard Award, an honor recognizing outstanding character, abilities, and achievements.
Myra's dedication to the job and her willingness to always go the extra mile distinguishes her from others. She possesses a positive attitude no matter what the situation or project, and is always ready to take on new responsibilities and expand her role.
Truly remarkable is her ability to anticipate needs ahead of time, and thus complete projects efficiently while providing her team with a unique perspective on how to improve processes and procedures.
Two examples of her expertise are the recent implementation of hCue and BoardVantage, both productivity/efficiency initiatives. Myra implemented hCue, which helps manage entity formation, officer and director lists, and annual filings related to domestic and international entities. She also took the lead in implementing BoardVantage. This solution has made distribution of board materials easier for management and directors. The simplified process has the added benefit of giving her more time to take on new responsibilities.
Beyond the office walls, Myra volunteers for the American Heart Association, a cause to which she is dedicated because of lifelong issues with her own heart health. She has undergone several major heart surgeries since she was an infant. In 2012, Myra received the Woman of Distinction Award at the Garden State Go Red for Women Luncheon, which recognizes and celebrates women promoting a healthy lifestyle and making extraordinary efforts to improve their community.
As an award-winner, Myra and a guest received an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City. She was also honored at a recent company meeting.
Bard’s management created the Charles Russell Bard Award in 1992 as a venue for employees to acknowledge their colleagues who demonstrate exemplary performance and commitment to Bard’s core values of quality, integrity, service and innovation.
