National Football Foundation Recognizes West Essex Coach and Football Player

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex Regional School District Athletic Director Damion Macioci has announced that the Essex County Chapter of the National Football Foundation Sports Awards Program has recognized a West Essex athletic coach and a football player for their achievements.

The foundation presented the school's retired Strength Coach Dave Drozjock with an Outstanding Contributions / Lifetime Achievement Award. Drozjock said that he was thrilled and honored to receive the award.

Macioci congratulated Drozjock saying, "I think it is wonderful any time a staff member is recognized for outstanding achievement. Coach Drozjock is a true professional who exhibits all of the qualities we want to have in an athletic coach. I am proud to have the opportunity to work with him."

Macioci also announced that the same foundation has recognized senior Peter Norton. Norton was named a Scholar-Athlete Award recipient. The Essex Fells student said that he is proud to represent West Essex and honored to be recognized. Norton plans to attend the University of Wisconsin in the fall.
