National Weather Service Issues Flash Flood Watch for Much of New Jersey

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the area through 6 p.m. Otherwise, today will be cloudy with showers and storms likely and highs near 79.

Amtrak reported a low-voltage condition of the Northeast Corridor between Philadelphia and New York at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday.

NJ Transit had to suspend Northeast Corridor train and North Jersey Coast Line service between Long Branch and New York. The trains resumed service, but are operating up to 60 minutes behind schedule. Midtown Direct trains are operating in and out of Hoboken to alleviate congestion.

Buses are honoring NJ Transit rail tickets.
