NEW YORK, NY - The National Weather Service issued a 'Hazardous Weather Outlook' for Morris County in New Jersey for Sunday Aug. 2. The day includes a flood advisory, as well as the potential for severe thunderstorms and damaging winds.
The Flood Advisory is in effect from 8:46am until 12:45pm Sunday. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 89 degrees.
The NWS also reported that showers and thunderstorms are likely Sunday, mainly before 3pm. Chance of precipitation is 80%. There is also a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday evening.
Weather conditions are such that damaging winds may occur during thunderstorms, so secure those pool toys.
Monday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 87 and then showers and thunderstorms after 3pm.
