NEW YORK, NY - The National Weather Service issued a 'Winter Weather Advisory' for Thursday, Nov. 15 for Northern New Jersey.

Snow and sleet are expected to start falling around 1 p.m. and continue into the night. The chance of precipitation is 100% with accumulations expected to be between 1 and 3 inches. 

Today's high temperature will be just above the freezing mark.

Rain snow and sleet are expected to fall before 8 p.m., after 8 p.m. expect rain and sleet until about 11 p.m., with just rain after 11 p.m. Temperatures are expected to rise to 38 by 1 a.m. 

Friday is expected to start off with rain until about 9 a.m., then the day is expected to be sunny with temperatures in the low 40s. Partly sunny skies are expected for the weekend. 

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
