WEST ORANGE, NJ - In a little over eight weeks, a Nautical-themed Playground has been created at South Mountain Recreation Complex near the Paddle Boat Pavilion and McCloones Restaurant. The playground features age-appropriate apparatus and rock climbing equipment for children ages 2-5 years and 5-12 years, and has a rubberized surface. It will provide a no-cost activity for visitors coming to picnic or ride the paddle boats.
Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo and Orange mayor Dwayne Warren are expected to be on hand Thursday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. to cut the ribbon opening the free childrens' playground, and the public is invited to attend.
