NETA Certification Courses at The Connection

SUMMIT-  NETA, a non-profit fitness professional association offering nationally-recognized certification workshops is offering three courses at The Connection in Summit this March.  Classes include: Personal Trainer Certification, Practical Skills for Group Exercise Instructors, and Barre Blend.

Personal Trainer Certification, March 1-2: Attend a 2-day exam preparation workshop and receive 14 hours of lecture, demonstrations and practical hands-on applications to obtain a Personal Trainer Certification. Workshop participants gain the technical knowledge and leadership skills needed to implement effective, motivational and safe exercise programming for clients. Exam administered at the end of the workshop. Class will be held on Saturday, March 1 from 8:00-5:00pm and Sunday, March 2 from 8:00-3:00pm.

Practical Skills for Group Exercise Instructors, March 22: New instructors or those looking to enhance their skills will have the opportunity to improve confidence and be a better group leader in this NETA Course. Topics include music selection, cueing technique, choreography composition and the building blocks of class construction. Class will be held on Saturday, March 22 from 8:00-1:00pm.

Barre Blend, March 23: Discover the newest and latest mind-body explosion in the Barre Blend course. Barre Blend is a method of mind body exercises that combines ballet bar technique, Pilates exercises, and cardiovascular training to challenge and tone the entire body. This seamlessly blended genre will combine the methodology of strength and control to create a smoothly flowing class that improves body awareness, flexibility and movement patterns. Class will be held on Sunday, March 23 from 8:00-1:00pm.
