CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The wait to get tested for coronavirus at Mullins Hall in Coral Springs is under an hour, depending on the time of day, a city official said.

Starting next week, Coral Springs will set up a text app to allow people to sign in with their phone at the testing site and get alerted when their turn comes up in line, said Alex Falcone, the city’s emergency management director.

This will permit people to sit in their cars, fill out forms, and not risk getting exposed to the virus while in line. The app is similar to the ones restaurants use to manage reservations.

People can wait “in the air conditioning of their vehicles as they wait,” he said. “It will help stem the line.”

For those who don’t have cars, they can still wait in line under recently-installed tents.

Mullins Hall, at Mullins Park at 10150 NW 29 St., is no longer taking appointments. Read more here.
