NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – City officials have announced that a Code Blue alert will be in effect for Friday night into Saturday morning.

Overnight lows in New Brunswick are expected to drop to about 24 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Unity Square Community Center at 81 Remsen Avenue will be open as a warming center between 7 p.m. tonight and 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

The city will attempt to accommodate all guests, but space is limited.

Doors will close at capacity or 9 p.m.

Due to COVID19 regulations, all guests are required to wear a face mask at all times and have their temperature checked.

No food or drink will be permitted.
