NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – With overnight conditions expected to be blustery and temperatures expected to drop, the city has called for a Code Blue from the evening of Monday, March 1 through the morning of Tuesday, March 2.

Unity Square Community Center at 81 Remsen Avenue will be open overnight as a warming center between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The city will attempt to accommodate all guests, but space is limited.

Doors will close at capacity or 9 p.m.

No food or drink will be allowed.

Due to COVID19 regulations, all guests are required to wear a face mask at all times and have their temperature checked.

Anyone in need of shelter or other social services can call 211 for assistance.

The overnight low in New Brunswick is expected to reach about 21 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Northwest winds are expected to gust as high as 30 mph.
