NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Carriage rides, ice sculptures, caroling and more – New Brunswick is about to be transformed into a Winter Wonderland.
It all starts with Friday’s tree lighting ceremony at Monument Square Park and George Street.
The festivities start at 4:30 p.m.
This year, there will be 12 tree lightings around New Brunswick’s downtown area, with large trees located at Monument Square Park, Paterson and George streets (near Indochine) and Albany and George streets (near Gong Cha).
The event, which is sponsored by Johnson & Johnson and Miller Lite, will also include holiday caroling from Spiced Punch, which will move from tree to tree after they are lit.
The public is invited to enjoy hot cocoa, hot pretzels and more for purchase from Maglione’s. Donations of non-perishable food items, toys and winter accessories will be accepted at each tree, throughout Winter Wonderland, to support local needs.
You can also watch the tree lighting from your home. It will be streaming on Facebook.
