New Eyes for the Needy held the annual Holiday Luncheon for its volunteers on Friday, December 10 at the Beacon Hill Club in Summit.
Volunteers shared a delicious meal and conversation while New Eyes' staff raffled off gifts to attendees. "It's our way of thanking all of our
hard-working dedicated volunteers for the tremendous work they do in providing clear vision to the poor here in the United States and all over the world," said Jean Gajano, Community Relations Coordinator for New Eyes.
Special recognition went to Short Hills resident Gloria Patti for her 10 years of service to the nonprofit. Mrs. Patti co-chairs the Silver and
Giftware Committee for the Fabulous Finds Boutique, New Eyes' resale shop, where she is skilled at pricing giftware items that are donated to the charitable organization. "We are so appreciative of Gloria's work over the years," added Gajano. "Her dedication to the Fabulous Finds Boutique has helped us provide many new prescription eyeglasses to the poor."
New Eyes is a nonprofit organization based in Short Hills, NJ, that purchases new eyeglasses for the poor living in the United States and
