BERNARDSVILLE – Now is the time to catch migrating birds in the skies of New Jersey.
Pete Dunne, New Jersey Audubon Birding Ambassador, will lead the public to experience “a river of raptors” on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A rooftop observation deck is the perfect setting to observe migrating species like Re-tailed and Cooper’s Hawks, Osprey, Sharp-shinned Hawks and Broad-winged Hawks.
The event is open to the public. Bring your binoculars, sunglasses, sunscreen and a brimmed hat. A book signing by Pete Dunne is being held in the nature store at noon.
Forgot your binoculars? Zeiss Optics is holding a workshop, demo and sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
