BASKING RIDGE, NJ – The New Jersey Ballet, New Jersey’s Premiere Dance Company, presents an evening of works by a variety of contemporary choreographers that highlight the breadth and depth of the company’s artistic offerings. The evening’s performance will include excerpts from Vincente Nebrada’s A Dance for You, and Robert North’s Death and the Maiden, along with Pedro Ruiz’s Danza. Also, on the program are two works created for NJB, Matthew Rushing’s tribute to Count Basie, Hand in Hand and James Kinney’s Civil War homage American Salute. The Fellowship Cultural Arts Center 239 seat multipurpose theater benefits from the design work of top theater, lighting and sound professionals who were brought in to create the state-of-the-art space. Open to the public, programming features theater, opera, symphony, jazz and ballet with performances by the New Jersey Festival Orchestra, New Jersey Ballet, Light Opera of New Jersey, Centenary Stage Company, and with Trilogy Repertory Company-in-Residence.
