LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two members from New Jersey won first place in their competitions at the Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup.

In the Horse Bowl competition, Anthony Leone of Somerset County was the high point individual while the New Jersey team finished as reserve champions. In Horse Bowl, competitors have to be quick on the buzzer to answer questions about horses. All topics are covered, such as anatomy, physiology, history, uses of horses, tack and equipment.

To qualify for the national competition members had to compete at the state level. In February Leone was also the high point winner at the state Horse Bowl. Somerset was second in that competition.
