NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – The Pioneers boys’ basketball team might have played its best all-around game of the season on Wednesday night.
With the unveiling of brand new scoreboards, New Providence played like a rejuvenated basketball team, dismantling Roselle Park, 57-17.
The Pioneers allowed single digits in all four quarters, holding the Panthers to just one basket in each of the first two periods.
Even though only one player scored in double figures for New Providence, they had 10 different players score throughout the game.
Led by Tyler Curto, who had a team-high 11 points, the Pioneers piled on 24 in the second quarter en route to their third victory of the season.
New Providence has a busy week ahead. After a game at Jonathan Dayton on Friday night, the Pioneers embark on an all-day affair in Berkeley Heights, as part of the annual Super Saturday Fundraiser at Gov. Livingston High School.
Tip-off on Friday from Springfield is scheduled for 7 p.m., while Saturday’s matchup with the Highlanders is slated for a 4:30 p.m. start.
