New Providence Boys Soccer Shuts Out Dayton, 1-0

SPRINGFIELD, NJ - The New Providence boys' soccer team shut out Jonathan Dayton High School, 1-0, under the lights on Tuesday.

The goal, scored in the 23rd minute by senior midfielder Zain Stedman on an assist from junior James Marriot, proved to be the lone tally for New Providence, as they went on to win their second straight game.

Pioneer goalie Michael Zamora posted his first clean sheet of the season, keeping Dayton off the scoreboard.

The two sectional rivals square off again on Halloween to close out the regular season in New Providence.

The Pioneers (3-4) take on Rahway in at Leider Field on Thursday.
