NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J. – Sydney Morang scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Pioneers past Johnson, 37-22, at New Providence High School.
The Pioneers’ sophomore phenom scored more than half of the team’s points as New Providence improved to 10-3 on Friday night.
After trailing by three after the first quarter, the Pioneers allowed only 11 points the rest of the way.
Outside of Morang’s 20 point performance, New Providence received strong games from Hannah Caminiti and Katie Kinum, who both scored six a piece.
The Pioneers are back in action on Tuesday when they host Jonathan Dayton.
