New Providence Middle-Schooler Claims Third in AAA Poster Contest

FLORHAM PARK, NJ - A local seventh-grader is already ahead of the driving school learning curve.

Heather Donnadio, a seventh-grader at New Providence Middle School, took third place in the Junior High Category of the AAA Traffic Safety Poster contest, according to a press release from AAA New Jersey.

Donnadio created a hand-drawn poster focused on "stopping the Texts Will Be Stopping the Wrecks."

The annual Traffic Safety Poster contest gives students the opportunity to learn how to avoid serious accidents in a fun and creative environment.

This year's contest challenged participants to create a piece involving  "How to Be a Good Passenger" concepts,
