SUMMIT, NJ – The New Providence Lions, an under-14 boys soccer team, capped their spring season by winning the InterCounty Finals Fest Tournament.

The Lions earned the tournament’s top seed after winning the regular-season title with a record of 5-1-1. They defeated the Scotch Plains warriors on Saturday, 4-2, to win the championship.

Dylan Pizzi, Matt Farrell, Tim Diguglielmo and Greg Lambert each scored in the victory over Scotch Plains.

The New Providence Wildcats, the girls under-14 team, took second place in the same tournament.
