FRANKLIN, NJ - Benefiting Franklin High School's Project Graduation, the 2nd Annual Franklin Food Truck Festival featured craft and food truck vendors from across the state.
"We have great vendors like New World Pizza. They have the best pizza in Somerset County, New Jersey, because they make it right on the spot - this is not heated up in a microwave!" said MacCafee Road School Principal, and Franklin High School "Warrior For Life," Bill Grippo.
New World Pizza was one of many food truck vendors in attendance at the annual festival, and owner, Anthony DiMeglio, has a special connection to the event; his brother, Nick DiMeglio, is a co-organizer. "[Nick] is a big asset over here. The town's lucky to have him here." said Anthony DiMeglio.
New World Pizza boasts fresh ingredients including fresh dough and made-to-order cheese. New World's pizza sauce is specially prepared without tomato seeds and smaller pepperoni is used for richer flavor. "It's all good stuff," Anthony added.
Along with their mobile brick-oven food truck, New World Pizza operates a storefront shop in Skillman, New Jersey as well.
"Two of my kids are really involved.. my daughter's here with me today, and then I have my son running the business at the storefront." added Anthony DiMeglio, "You know, family's the big thing... when you get good family together, it's like hitting a home run... it's the best."
