The Festival of Succot brings many events of celebration to Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, Short Hills. The TBJ Brotherhood will host their annual Spirits of the Succah on Tuesday, October 6th at 7 pm in the Temple Succah. The event will include a light dinner and a bourbon tasting.

The Temple's Renaissance Group, will kick off their program for the year with a dinner on Thursday, October 8th at 6 pm.

Friday night, October 9th is Simchat Torah, always an exciting event at TBJ. Members of the congregation become part of the tradition as the Torah Scroll is unwound around the Sanctuary and the Rabbis and Cantor read from the end and then the beginning, to show that our connection to the Torah never ends.

At Congregation B'nai Jeshurun we feel that education is just as important for those no longer considered children. HaPardes, The Orchard, is the annual publication listing all the Adult Education offerings for the year. The kick-off session for the Sunday morning adult study component will be held on Sunday, October 11th at 9:45 am. Our Individual &Collective Journeys as Jews a panel discussion, will be a preview of the year's topics. The panel will include Rabbi Matthew D. Gewirtz, Cantor Howard M. Stahl, Rabbi Matthew A. Reimer, and will be moderated by TBJ's Director of Lifelong Jewish Learning, Richard S. Abrams. Coffee & bagels will be served.

The Women's Association begins their year's events with The Women's Business Networking Forum, Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 pm. Women currently in business and those actively pursuing or just thinking about a career, are invited to get together to socialize and share experiences.
