BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The NJ Pilots hosted members of the 9U Berkeley Heights Navy team for a baseball clinic on Sunday before their home game against the Allentown Railers.

The Berkeley Heights players went through a rotation of various hitting, fielding and throwing stations and received advice from Pilots players and coaches alike. It was a big thrill for the players.  Adding to the excitement for these young players was catching shag fly balls after the clinic during batting practice and the players signed autographs.

The Pilots' announcer introduced the 9U players and invited them onto the field to join the team for the National Anthem.

The Pilots went on to a 4-2 win defeating the number one ranked Railers. Stephen Silvestri was on the mound for the Pilots with a five hit, 10 strikeout performance in the victory.  The 10 hit offensive attack was led by Ian Glassman, Malcolm Kelsey, Mike Caputo and Anthony Critelli who each had two hits a piece.  Their next home game is Thursday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m. against Quakertown at Snyder Avenue Park.
