The North Penn Rotary Club's largest fundraiser returns to downtown Lansdale Saturday.
Lansdale Day kicks off at 10 a.m. and wraps up at 4 p.m.
This year, the event features a juried invitational arts festival featuring fine artists, artisans and crafters. There is also a community marketplace with various business and organization vendors and Pet Alley, which is dedicatd to pet-related items and companies.
The day kicks off with the North Penn YMCA Kugel Ball 5K Run/Walk, which could get as many as 5,000 participants.
Other highlights Saturday include:
- Food and music
- North Penn Rotary cash raffle drawing
- Model railroad display
- Car show
- Dog agility show
- Petting zoo
- Children's games
Proceeds from Lansdale Day go back to local charities in the area, according to the North Penn Rotary website. Past recipients have included Community Housing Services, Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Foundation Free Enterprise Education, North Penn Little League, Laurel House, Manna on Main Street, Mission Kids, Montgomery County Association for the Blind, Multiple Sclerosis Society, North Penn scholarships, North Penn Valley Boys and Girls Club, North Penn Visiting Nurse Association, North Penn YMCA, North Wales Library, RSVP of Montgomery County, The PEAK Center, Variety Club and Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale.
