North Plainfield Resident Lisa DelNegro, 25, Passed Away Sunday

Born in Plainfield, Lisa was a lifelong resident of North Plainfield where she was a graduate of  their 2007 class.  She had also attended Sacred Heart School in South Plainfield..

Lisa was a certified Emergency Medical Technician working as a per diem EMT for the North Plainfield Fire Rescue Department and had recently been hired full time by JFK Medical Center in Edison.   Her dedication to helping others was also evident by her volunteering as a former member of the North Plainfield Volunteer Fire Company. 

Lisa was also an active volunteer with the North Plainfield Recreation Department, serving as a field supervisor, doing whatever was needed at various events, and playing in the adult softball leagues.

She enjoyed many things in life such as fishing, hiking, field hockey and softball.  Lisa was also a fan of the Intimidator # 3 Dale Earnhardt Sr. and taking long drives with friends to nowhere and experiencing the journey to various places they came upon.  

 Her father,  Lawrence F. Del Negro Jr. died in 2001.  She is also predeceased by her aunt Colleen Kaufman who died in 2013.

 Surviving are her mother, Gail Ann Kaufman Cain, step father, Gordon Cain, maternal grandparents, Stan and Eleanor Kaufman, aunt, Nancy Campbell, uncle, Tom Kaufman, cousins; Heather and Jackie Kaufman, Scott Campbell, his wife Gladys along with their children, Jackie and Camila and Stephen Campbell and his wife, Erica, siblings; Larry Del Negro, Debbie Schwalje, Tina and Angela Del Negro, and her beloved dog, Dexter.

Lisa is also survived by numerous additional aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family member as well as, many dear friends.

 Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 3-8 PM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.

Her funeral service will begin on Thursday at 10 AM in the funeral home with interment following in Hillside cemetery, Scotch Plains.

Water Main Break in Warren May Impact I-78 and WHRHS School Day

WARREN, NJ - A water main break under I-78 in Warren Township may impact the evening commute Monday and impact school openings on Tuesday, especially at Watchung Hills.
