NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- On a drizzly night with the fog rolling down the Watchung hills toward Krausche Field, North Plainfield Canuck's pitcher James Valley pitched a complete game victory against the Plainfield Cardinals.  He gave up four hits over seven innings.

Leadoff hitter and short stop Kyle Grant, who had a small fan club in the stands, hit a home run and had two RBIs.

Freshman catcher Nick Cherasaro hadn't been very successful throwing out runners all year, but chose the game against Plainfield to break the schneid.  In the second he threw out Jose Mercardo on second after he took too large a lead, and later in the inning threw out Jose Rosa trying to steal second.  In the third he threw out another runner trying to steal second.
