Mary Padula, 90, of South Plainfield passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.  Born on December 16, 1923 in Natalie, PA to Joseph and Susan Weimer, she moved to South Plainfield in 1952.

Mrs. Padula was a homemaker.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Padula, Sr. in 1985 and her two brothers, Joseph and Michael Weimer.  Mary is survived by her daughter, Marianne Cesare and her husband Allan of South Plainfield, her son, Joseph J. Padula, Jr. of Middletown, her two grandchildren, Anthony Cesare of Edison and Nicholas Cesare and his wife Ashley of Maryland and her two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph.  She is also survived by her brother, Edward Weimer and his wife Nancy of Florida and her two sisters-in-law, Mildred Weimer of East Rutherford and Narcissus Weimer of Cogan Station, PA.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30am at the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield.  Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum in South Plainfield.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Mary’s honor to Sacred Heart Social Concerns, 200 Randolph Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.  Condolences may be sent to
