Michael Kuzio, 91, of South Plainfield passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at The Woodlands in Plainfield.  Born on September 11, 1922 in Frackville, PA to Joseph and Sophia (Pawlyshyn) Kuzio, he was a resident of South Plainfield for many years.

Mr. Kuzio was a proud Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army and was stationed in Italy with the 10th Mountain Division – 86th Regiment.  He was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient.  Michael received an associates degree in engineering and spent his career as a heavy industrial sales engineer, working for C-E Raymond and Bartlett-Snow in Chicago, IL.  He retired in 1984.  Michael was a communicant and usher at the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield.  He was an avid bowler, playing in many local leagues.

Mr. Kuzio was predeceased by his wife , Katherine Kuzio and is survived by his two sons, Michael Kuzio of Littleton, CO and Paul Kuzio of South Plainfield, his two daughters, Kathryn Kuzio of Tampa, FL and Joanne Parrish of Charlotte, NC and his two grandsons, Ethan and Tristan Parrish of Charlotte, NC.  Michael is also survived by his sister, Helen Bobal of Manville.

There was a graveside service on Friday, May 9th at 10am at the Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown.  South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ is in charge of Michael’s arrangements.
