LIVINGSTON, NJ – The renaming of Okner Field in Livingston to Brendan Tevlin Memorial Field occurred Oct. 24, with Mayor Michael Rieber presenting the resolution from last week’s council meeting to the family of Tevlin.

“Once again, through tragedy the town of Livingston comes together to honor our most dear, our children,” said Rieber, referencing the 2013 Seton Hall graduate who was killed in West Orange on June 25 on his way home from a night out with friends.

Also in attendance were Steve Delman, president of the Livingston Sports Council and Livingston Det. Sgt. Ron Barbella.

“It’s an honor for us to honor him,” added Rieber.

Last month, Seton Hall Prep also announced plans to name the lacrosse field at the Kelley Athletic Complex in honor of Brendan Tevlin.
