SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Two Springfield Police Officers have been promoted in the department.
The announcement came as part of the resolution section of last week's township committee meeting. Hope Arthur was hired as a probationary officer in the Springfield Police Department. Arthur was hired to fill a vacancy created by resignation in the department.
On the promotion side, Patrol Officer Ninth Class Emmett Badai had completed one year at his current rank. Badai was promoted by a resolution up a rank to Eighth Class, which comes with an increase in salary.
Both officers were recommended for promotion and hiring by Springfield Police Chief John Cook.
