RANDOLPH, NJ - In any sport, the perfect time to get on a roll and play your best is at the end of  the season, leading into the playoffs. That is just what the Randolph high school softball team is doing now, having won four out of its last five games.

The most important victory of them all came on Thursday in the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament First Round game against North Bergen, with the Lady Rams prevailing, 4-1

Kelly O'Neill was lights out on the mound, shutting down the North Bergen bats while tossing a one-hitter. O'Neill struck out eight batters, while also helping the Rams offense by scoring two runs, and going 3 for 4 at the plate.

Cynthia Meringer was also 3 for 4 on the day, while scoring twice and picking up an RBI.  Courtney McHugh collected two hits and an RBI, and Amanda Beatrice knocked in two RBI to help power the offense.
