Ordinance to Set Salary Ranges for Township Employees Introduced

Some of the salary standards set in ordinance introduced by Chatham Township Committee

CHATHAM, NJ - An ordinance to establish minimum and maximum salaries for Chatham Township employees was introduced on Thursday night by the Chatham Township Committee.

The township administrator an earn up to $176,000 per year, with a minimum salary of $85,000. The salary range for the police chief is $125,000 to $140,000, and the public works manager has a minimun salary of $65,000, with a maximum of $125,000. Those are the three highest-paying positions listed in the ordinance.

The ordinance will be up for adoption on Dec. 12.
