In 2009, a new conservative political organization grew in Pennsylvania through almost sovereign grassroots support—the Tea Party Patriots.
Its ethos: Oppose excess government spending and debt. Tea Party Patriots push for fiscal responsibility from a government whose duties are limited by the Constitution in an economy free of monopolies and authority.
In an effort to recognize the grassroots campaigns of individuals and groups in the Tea Party movement five years later, Philadelphia Tea Party Patriots holds a celebration on Saturday at Marjeane Caterers in Lansdale from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The event features keynote speaker Dom Giordano, renowned talk show host on WPHT 1210 AM in Philadelphia.
Cost of the event is $30 per person or $55 per couple. Table reservations are available for groups of eight to 10.
