SUMMIT, NJ - The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will host its second annual Paint-a-palooza, an evening of hands-on painting projects in its galleries, December 6 from 6 - 9 p.m.
Paint-a-palooza drew more than 300 people to the Art Center in 2012, and this year's event -- co-chaired by Teresa McGoey and Lori Donohue -- will welcome families with even more art-making projects, kid-friendly fare and festivities. A one-of-kind Jackson Pollock-esque, collaborative abstract painting will be raffled off, along with a painting created at this year’s event. The drawings will be held at the event on December 6.
Founded in 1933, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is the state’s largest organization dedicated exclusively to viewing, making and learning about contemporary art. Comprising a renowned studio school and a thriving exhibition, education and programming schedule, the Art Center serves over 60,000 individuals from the tri-state region each year.
