MILLBURN, NJ — While performance spaces remain closed, organizations such as Paper Mill Playhouse look for innovative ways to connect with their audiences until they can safely open.

In a collaborative first, Paper Mill is co-producing a three-part series of virtual performances with New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

The first performance will feature NJSO musicians and Broadway and Paper Mill veteran Rema Webb in a virtual performance of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Webb will sing alongside the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Strings. The performance will be Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. and can be streamed live or seen online after.

“We are thrilled to partner with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.” said Paper Mill Playhouse’s Producing Artistic Director, Mark S. Hoebee. “And we look forward to all the discovery and beauty we believe will result from having two of New Jersey’s preeminent cultural organizations from different disciplines come together.”

The series is sponsored by JCP&L/First Energy Foundation and PNC Bank and will be free to view.
