PARKLAND, FL- The residents of Parkland are ready to make their vote count. As early voting opened on Monday morning in Parkland and Broward County, the line was already making its way down the sidewalk towards the baseball fields. The voter turnout appeared to be larger than anyone has seen before in Parkland.
"I want to make sure my vote is counted!" shouted one voter on the way out of the building.
Candidates running for the City Commissioner and Mayoral positions were greeting voters with waves and signs in a last minute effort to gather extra votes.
A record number of voters turned out in Florida on Monday, as over 350,000 thousand votes were counted. The previous record was the 2016 election that tallied about 291,000 votes.
