SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - At about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, a small SUV traveling south on Scotland Road, just before the intersection with Montrose Avenue, stopped short and a woman passenger banged her head, according to first responders at the scene.

The passenger ended up on the ground beside the vehicle, but according to first responders it was unclear how this occurred.

South Orange police were first to arrive at the scene of the accident, and South Orange Rescue Squad and EMS service from St. Barnabas Hospital were requested.

First aid was rendered by the South Orange Rescue Squad, and the injured passenger was then transported to St. Barnabas Hospital for further evaluation and treatment, according to first responders.
